Unit Rationale
Students will be exploring three unique environments- The Arctic Tundra, Amazon Rainforest and New York City. The entire unit will engage students in the exploration of the inhabitants, culture, and climate of these habitats through traditional and nontraditional materials. Through this interdisciplinary of the arts and science students will be able to make connections between art and other subjects of study, as well as be encouraged to make connections between art and the world around them.
